OrderMotion Captured Retailers' Votes in Shop.org's Innovation Contest with Plan for Future Economic Success
OrderMotion, Inc., a leading provider of order management solutions for mid-market online merchants was recently recognized as a winner of the 2009 Shop.org Innovation Contest at the Shop.org Strategy and Innovation Forum, February 2-4, 2009 in Orlando, FL.
Exhibitors submitted proposals that explained what retailers should do to succeed in this downturned economy and prepare for future success. The top five proposals were selected by the retail members of Shop.org and showcased at the forum by the winning companies.
OrderMotions award-winning proposal was presented by Marty Fahey, CEO, OrderMotion. He advised retailers that the formula for success is 1x12/3=$ and can be achieved by using OMX, OrderMotions new order management service combining throughput with visual operational data, to boost repeat buyer behavior, resulting in higher AOVs and lower cost.
With OMX, retailers can easily turn one order into 12 recurring orders by implementing continuity and payment plans that encourage repeat buying behavior, such as a plan that sends a package of diapers to a new Mom periodically for three easy installments of $49.95. Retailers can also monitor, in real-time, the buying behavior trends on the OMX dashboards to determine if additional marketing is necessary.
In this economy, customers are looking for easier ways to purchase their favorite products. The combination of continuity and payment plans lets retailers meet that need while locking in higher AOVs and extending customer relationships, said Fahey.

OrderMotion, Inc., a leading provider of order management solutions for mid-market online merchants, today announced that despite reports of a sluggish economy and weakened retail industry, the 2008 holiday season was not a disaster for online merchants. Cumulatively, OrderMotion customers saw a 13% increase in merchant revenue, which reflects a silver lining in a season of disappointing results.
Stroll, lifestyle information products retailer and OrderMotion customer, saw an enormous 474% increase in revenue this past holiday season. To reduce our risk exposure we tested our marketing campaigns year-round to maximize response rates with increased traffic and relied on OrderMotions consistency and reliability to seamlessly manage the increased order volume and keep our inventory levels in good standing, said Dan Roitman, CEO, Stroll. In 2009, by monitoring our metrics and making adjustments as needed, we expect to exceed the 88% growth rate we experienced in 2008, even when outside factors, like the economy, come into play."
Pet products distributor and OrderMotion customer, HealthyPets, Inc., saw a 36% jump in holiday revenue. In 2008 we extended our product line, made changes to our front-end, launched holiday campaigns and trained our customer service team to effectively cross-sell, said Jimmy Quita, Director of Business Development, HealthyPets, Inc. Solis Women’s Health Appoints Marla R. Lander, M.D as Chief Medical Officer
Austin, TX - February 25, 2009 - Solis Womens Health today announced the appointment of Marla R. Lander, M.D., as its Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Lander replaces Timothy Freer, M.D., the founder of Solis predecessor organization, and the first CMO of Solis, who has retired.
Dr. Lander is the lead physician at the Solis Breast Health Center in Indio, California, and is also responsible for the newly opened Solis Mammography Center in Rancho Mirage, California. A graduate of the University of California - Irvine, Medical School, Dr. Lander also completed her residency in radiology at that institution. She is board certified in radiology, and has completed three fellowships in breast imaging, including one in Falun, Sweden, where she trained with the world renowned mammography expert, Laszlo Tabar, M.D. Dr. Lander has been a leader in screening and diagnosis of breast cancer in the Palm Springs area for twelve years.
